Holiday Records and Accruals
For most businesses keeping track of employee holiday and absence history is a real challenge. Ensuring that you calculate each employees holiday accrual rate accurately and then keeping track of how much holiday they have taken, have left and have booked is time consuming and can be confusing, often leading to incomplete or inaccurate records. Add to this keeping track of sickness and the whole thing becomes really time consuming. Getting this wrong can cost the employer money in overtaken holiday or sickness or in time trying to make sense of it all.
Fortunately, the PeopleManager HR and Payroll Submission System can make the whole thing as painless as possible by doing all the accrual calculations for you, keeping track of bookings and taken holiday and showing you a weekly balance of the current accrual situation and cost for each employee. PeopleManager can also hold a TOIL (time off in lieu) balance for the employee which can be added to by the manager and the balance can be available for booking.
Our easy to use holiday planners enable you, your employees or their managers, to book holiday and check balances quickly and simply. It will also show you the current available holiday balance for each employee as you book holiday so there is no chance of accidentally overbooking.
There is the option to use the Employee Self Service Portal to allow the employee to submit holiday bookings for approval by the manager for automatic insertion into the absence planner and employee records on approval by the manager. This whole process is managed using email alerts so your employees are able to see the progress of their request along with its outcome.
The PeopleManager HR and Payroll Submission Software can be configured with your individual organisation limits on the number of employees permitted to on holiday at any one time and an alert on breaches of this limit can be communicated to the employee when they try to book their leave. Total employees on holiday limits can be configured as a number of employees or percentages of the workforce and can be company-wide or departmental.
